What few Wingnut Wings that I have left in my collection I vow to build at least one a year until they run out! I intend to stick around for a while so they should keep me busy for a few years to come providing I can hang on to my eyesight. This years’ only effort was this Roland D.VIa, chosen because I really wanted to have a go at painting that woodwork, a combination of acrylic and artists oil paints. The application of all those individual rib tapes wasn’t much fun, but I was really pleased how it turned out. Built out of the box apart from a few resin spark plugs! Pleased that, as the only entry for IPMS Scale Modelworld 2023 it won a silver in its class, plus the Jan Maes Award and the IPMS Swidnica trophies.
